Portraits of the People I grew up with

Taking pictures of my friends and the people I grew up with was my introduction to photography. You tend to first document your parents or the people you spend most of your time with.

There is an indescriptive feeling of taking a portrait of the people you like or you love.

Something that is deeply related to my practice and the way I take pictures.

I have an important emotional link with those picture.

It is important to me to document those moments where I felt alive. When I enjoyed a moment, a conversation...

Eventually, we all grow up, we don't have much of a choice, we can only choose the people we want to grow up with.

You just have to live, and life will give you pictures.

I did not have many friends when I was a kid. You can't imagine the pleasure it is for me to take pictures of the one I have today.

I can't wait to re-discover those pictures in the future.
